Yashwant Sinha (Pran) is a public prosecutor. He wants Chunnilal (Prem Chopra) to be sentenced to death with the evidence of Tarabai (Anjana Mumtaz). But it was not destined to be so liked that. Tarabai is sent to prison. Yashwant Sinha lost his daughter and looks after Tarabai's daughter, Asha as his own daughter Anupama.

Anupama (Neelam) and  Sinha's daughter Neelima (Sonam) used to study in the same college.

Anupama loves Vijay (Chunkey Pandey) but Vijay in turn used ot love Neelima. Vijay was Sinha's friend's son. Sinha wants Anupama to get married to Vijay. But Vijay had other ideas, he wanted to marry Neelima inspite of the fact that she was a gall-girl.

Yashwant Sinha tells Neelima to clear the way of Anupama to marry Vijay. She recognises her father and in order to please him, she decides to break off her relation with Vijay.

But Vijay feels that Neelima had been unfaithful to him and he decides to marry Anupama.

Does Sinha come to know the fact that Neelima was his lost daughter?

Does Vijay realise that Neelima was putting on an act of unfaithfulness?

Does Anupama know that she was a dancer's daughter and is the cause of rift between Vijay and Neelima?

Whether Vijay and Nileema, two lovers, meet each other?
